  • Molly is the Features Editor of The Manchester Tab, her role is finding unique stories that affect students and conveying them in a considered, long-form style. This entails conducting interviews and ensuring that opinion pieces are backed up with appropriate evidence whilst always making sure to find a new angle
  • Molly enjoys lifestyle and culture writing, zooming in on sub-cultures within the univeristy community and interviewing students to share a variety of viewpoints. She is passionate about holding the univeristy accountable and ensuring that well researched journalism is at the core of her articles
  • In her spare time, Molly enjoys checking out the creative scene in Manchester by attending a variety of gigs, art exhibitions, and nightlife. She has volunteered in hostels and farms across Europe which has increased her interest in travel writing whilst sustaining her passion for learning about different communities

Experience

Molly wrote for the Opinion and Lifestyle sections of The Mancunion in 2021 and 2022 before joining The Tab in 2023 where she moved into editorial work. She was shortlisted for The Guardian's Hugo Young Award 2023 for her article promoting honest discussions around sexual health.

Education

Molly is in her third and final year studying English Literature at The University of Manchester. She studied English Literature, History, and Fine Art at A-Level, acquiring A*A*A*.
