ALL remaining Arriva bus strikes cancelled
A deal has been agreed on… finally!
The December Arriva bus strikes have been called off after the bus drivers have accepted Arriva's latest pay offer. The news comes as a huge relief to travellers, who were expecting multiple more strike days in the run up to Christmas, including two more this week.

The scheduled strike today had to be called off so bus drivers could vote on the deal, and the offer was accepted by 1,286 votes to 547. The drivers had been fighting for a pay rise to £12.10, and the Echo has reported that the new agreement will see drivers wages rise to £12.10 this year, as well as rising further to £12.42 next year.
