Puppies and Bubble Wrap

The return of the SU petting zoo, but with animals we can actually pet this time.

The SU have upped their game and decided to let us get a more ‘hands on’ approach to stress management following the success of January’s petting zoo

On Wednesday students will be able to queue up and spend part of their day petting guide dogs in order to relieve the stress of exams. Rather like a nightclub, students are required to bring their library card with them to be gained access to the puppies and have been pre-warned there is a likelihood of a queue.

Whilst they wait however, students will be offered the chance to pop bubble wrap at ‘bubble wrap stations’ after the SU ordered a whopping 200 metres of the stuff. A fairly bizarre, and noisy, solution to keeping us calm this exam period.

Although the thought is appreciated, is this an effective way of spending the SU’s money we wonder? So far though reactions have been positive, with many students posting tweets about their excitement for the event. It also seems to be a prime opportunity for the dog and heart faced emoji.
