Dude, where’s my ‘tache?

It doesn’t matter, Fabian is growing one for everyone.

As winter rolls around, it seems like the perfect time to start wearing your winter coat, scarves and gloves, but why not go that extra mile and keep your upper lip warm as well?

That’s exactly what Fabian Bak, a third year International Relations student has done, raising awareness of Prostate and Testicular cancer at the same time as having a laugh and a joke.

Fabian Bak and Ron Burgundy

The Tab caught up with 3rd year student Fabian Bak to find out more about his effort.

Fabian said: “Ever since the first glorious specks of facial hair emerged upon the upper lip during adolescence I have always dreamt of fighting the system and seeing just what exactly was possible.”

“The charity aspect is certainly a reason for undergoing Movember and to raise awareness and money for a fantastic cause just seemed perfectly clear.”

Rustling up something fan-tache-stic

It’s pretty obvious what style Fabian is going for…the Ron Burgundy. Fabian said: “I have had had the honour of being called a look-a-like of the Legend, and role model. My red turtle neck and blazer just out of jazz flute scene has presented a resemblance.”

But what does the future hold in store for Fabian and his ‘mo’? He said: “The prospect of spending a hearty Christmas meal and new year celebrations together does excite but I’m afraid the answer right now is time will tell.”

I moustache you a question…but I’m shaving it for later

There’s just less than a week to go now and Fabian has already raised over £50.

You can still donate money to the cause through Fabian’s site here.
