Woman believed to be real life Martha says she’s suing Netflix over Baby Reindeer

The woman who people have claimed is the real life Martha from Netflix series Baby Reindeer has spoken in an interview and said she wants to sue over her depiction in the show.

Ever since the show went huge on Netflix, people have been trying to track down the real Martha. This has caused Richard Gadd to speak out and say viewers have missed the point of the show by doing so, and he has urged people not to send messages to who they think are the real life people the show’s characters are based on.

However, this hasn’t stopped people, and now the woman who many believe is the real life Martha has done an interview about how she plans to sue Netflix and will “kick their asses” over the show.

She told The Scottish Sun that as an Aberdeen law graduate, and now practicing lawyer in London, she plans to represent herself in legal proceedings, and slammed Jessica Gunning, who plays Martha in Baby Reindeer on Netflix. “I have a claim against Netflix as this is being billed as part of a true story,” the woman said.

She added: “There’s a fat actress that’s supposed to be me. I’m a highly competent lawyer. I’d have to do it myself. I’m very good. I have a photographic memory and can memorise huge files. I was top in my school at everything. People are probably saying I’m a mass murderer. This can’t continue. I will kick their asses.”

Richard Gadd said on Instagram: “Please don’t speculate on who any of the real-life people could be. That is not the point of our show.”
