Every key FBI and authority update there has been since Amy Bradley went missing
There have been seven milestone moments
Ever since Netflix released the documentary series about Amy Bradley, we’ve all been keeping up with every update, and tip to the FBI. Each day there a revelations of things the series missed out, or new tips there have been since it was released.
Over the years, it seems there hasn’t been much public talk from the FBI, or statements made about the case. Much to the frustration of the Bradley family, who have made it very clear they don’t think enough was done. But, this is a case that has spanned decades. The FBI and various authorities have shared key bits, and have had milestones in the investigation.
Amy went missing nearly 30 years ago, but is still one of the most wanted on the FBI’s missing persons list. So here’s every official update we’ve had in the case since Amy was reported missing.
Days after Amy Bradley went missing, the FBI released a statement saying it had ‘no leads’
In the first few days of the investigation, not much was found out. Newspaper reports from the days following Amy’s disappearance widely report that on day five, an FBI statement said it had “no leads”. It was further added the FBI “approved” of how Royal Caribbean had investigated so far.
The FBI confirmed Alister ‘Yellow’ Douglas was interviewed, but there was no evidence against him
CCTV footage was taken of the the last known movements of Amy before she went missing. In this, she could be seen dancing in the club on the boat, alongside Alister “Yellow” Douglas. So, Alister’s is a name that gets brought up a lot.

As the investigation was first taking place, Alister was questioned by the FBI and voluntarily took a polygraph test. He was released without charge, and there has never been any evidence he had anything to do with whatever may have happened.
The FBI released images of a possible Amy Bradley sighting

The FBI sketches
There have been lots of possible sightings of Amy Bradley over the years. In 2005, a woman reported seeing someone who matched Amy’s description in a department store. It was claimed the woman who looked like Amy had been seen entering a restroom in the store in Bridgetown, Barbados, with four men.
The woman who saw this said she spoke to the woman, after it sounded as though the group were discussing an “illegal deal”. She said the woman told her that her name was Amy. This was passed on to police, and composite sketches of the men and the woman were created and released.
The FBI was forced to drop a major lead in 2005

One of the biggest turns in the Amy Bradley case was when her family was sent images from an escort website of a woman called Jas, who was actually believed to be Amy. It went as a far as an FBI analysis confirming the woman was in fact Amy. So why wasn’t this the conclusion we all wanted? The FBI later admitted the IP address for the website couldn’t be tracked, so nothing more was done.
But the creator of the Netflix series Amy Bradley Is Missing has defended the FBI, and said this was hugely investigated.
“[What’s] hard to ignore is how seriously the FBI took that photo,” Ari Mark said. “It wasn’t like they were like, ‘Oh, whatever,’ they really did chase that down. They analysed the bed frame, tried to figure out where it was made. They sent an operative down there to actually scope it out. And they did look into that website, and they brought in that trafficking expert — it’s hard to ignore.”
A police officer had a ‘verifiable’ sighting of Amy Bradley in 2016
In a new interview with SWNS, Brad Bradley, Amy’s brother, said investigators are currently looking into a new tip. He said Herman Goilo – a former police officer from Curaçao – provided a new lead in the decades-long search.
Brad said two investigators travelled to Curaçao in November 2024 to speak with Goilo, who has claimed to have seen Amy there as recently as 2016, and said he knows people involved in her case.
“They are still talking to him,” Brad shared. “He’s told verifiable truths with verifiable lies mixed in. Hopefully something will come from it. I’d like to feel positive about it, but we’ve been told a bunch of crap by a bunch of people.”
An appeal was made in 2017

via FBI website
An update was added to the FBI’s page regarding Amy Bradley’s case in 2017. It shared new photographs of what Amy might look like, in the current day.
Lots of detail were given about Amy Bradley, to remind people of the case. The site descrived her as being born on May 12th, 1974, and being from Petersburg, Virginia. She has “short brown” hair, and green eyes. It also described her as 5ft6, and weighing 120 pounds. It added: “Bradley has the following tattoos: A Tasmanian Devil spinning a basketball on her shoulder; the sun on her lower back; a Chinese symbol on her right ankle; and a Gecko lizard on her navel. She also has a navel ring.”
There were two videos added to the page, one being a general overview of the story and call out for help, the other being last known images of Amy, and the sketches of what she might look like now.
Today, the FBI is still offering a reward and looking for tips
As of today, a reward of up to $25,000 is still available for information leading to the resolution of the case. “The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of Amy Lynn Bradley and information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance,” the website has stated.
“If you have any information concerning the disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley, please contact your local FBI office, or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Field Office: Washington D.C.”
