She was declared legally dead in 2010, but the FBI is still asking for tips


A website set up after Amy Bradley went missing is still active today, and shares any updates about what may have happened to her. Amy went missing nearly 30 years ago, but is still one of the most wanted on the FBI’s missing persons list.

In March 1998, Amy Bradley went missing. To this day, the case remains unsolved. She had been on a family holiday on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. When she was last seen, Amy and her brother had been out at a club on board, and returned to the family cabin in the early hours. Later that morning, in the early hours of the 24th, when Amy’s father went to check on her, she wasn’t in the cabin.

After her disappearance, a page was uploaded to the FBI’s most wanted missing persons site. It shares all the latest updates. According to the page, a reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to the resolution of the case.

“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of Amy Lynn Bradley and information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance,” it states.

Lots of details are also given about Amy Bradley. It describes her as being born on May 12th, 1974, and being from Petersburg, Virginia. She has “short brown” hair, and green eyes. It also describes her as 5ft6, and weighing 120 pounds. It adds: “Bradley has the following tattoos: A Tasmanian Devil spinning a basketball on her shoulder; the sun on her lower back; a Chinese symbol on her right ankle; and a Gecko lizard on her navel. She also has a navel ring.”

Under a section marked as “details”, the FBI shares an overview of what happened. It describes: “Amy Lynn Bradley, while on a family cruise to the Caribbean, went missing from the Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line’s ship Rhapsody of the Seas.

“On Saturday, March 21, 1998, the vessel departed San Juan, Puerto Rico, and traveled to its first port of call, the island of Aruba.  On Monday, March 23, 1998, Rhapsody of the Seas departed Aruba and was traveling in international waters to its next island port of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.

“During the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 24, 1998, Amy Lynn Bradley went missing.  The vessel later departed Curacao and continued on to the island of St. Martin (Sint Maarten) and further traveled to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, before returning to San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Saturday, March 28, 1998.”

Despite this Amy has been declared legally dead since 2010

Despite no conclusion being made about what might have happened to her, Amy was declared legally dead in March 2010. But, she remains on the FBI’s most wanting missing persons list.

The FBI is still looking for tips in the case. It asks: “If you have any information concerning the disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley, please contact your local FBI office, or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Field Office: Washington D.C.
