I was Peter Pan and Disney World, and my stalker’s ‘disturbing’ questions were only half of it

‘She came to my line every single shift that I was Peter Pan’

Amidst the ongoing drama involving the woman dubbed the “Peter Pan girl”, a former actor who worked at Disney World has detailed his own interactions with a different woman he described as a “stalker”.

Over the last week, TikTok has been discussing one Disney adult and her fascination with the character Peter Pan. Toni has visited him every week for going on a decade, offering him gifts and literally skipping after him in one now-viral video.

Though the influencer, who boasts nearly 70k followers on Twitter, isn’t harming anyone, people have questioned the comfort level of the actors who play Peter Pan. After all, they’re unable to say no in those situations as they’re contractually obligated to be welcoming to all. Others have pointed out that people would be considerably angrier if the actors were female.

Peter Pan speaks out after the drama on TikTok

Though completely separate from the ongoing saga involving 27-year-old Toni, the story has forced a former Peter Pan actor to share his own experiences working at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

“I myself, whilst working at Disney World, had a stalker. She came to my line every single shift that I was Peter Pan, and likely to the other two or three people that were cast in the role of Peter Pan at the time, and she would continue to circle the queue line over and over and over again to see Peter Pan,” he said on TikTok.

“Now, this person was not a child. This person was easily in her late 20s, early 30s, and would come to my line time and time again asking disturbing questions.”

Though he didn’t go into detail about the questions, he described them as alluding to sexual assault (SA) and sexual harassment (SH).

He continued: “Now, while I did experience this awkward moment time and time again with this stalker, there were more moments that the Disney princesses endured with really creepy dads and really creepy older men that would circle the queue lines and do similar things most of the time, much worse, and be handsy with the princesses on cast at Disney World.

“Now I’m not going to outright say that I blame Disney for these instances, as they couldn’t control what the guests were going to act like once they were in the park. However, I do think Disney needs to pay more attention to how the character performers are being treated when they’re on set.”

He said that, in the moment, it’s difficult to “mitigate” these situations when you’re in character. Peter Pan isn’t exactly known for cussing out people, after all.

“So next time you’re there, if you’re an adult and you want to meet a character, just remember to be respectful and kind to the performer,” he added.

At the start of the video, the influencer also alluded to some of the rules Disney employees have to follow. They’re not permitted to say they’re “playing” a character, even on social media, so that’s why he frequently refers to himself in the Peter Pan garb as his “best friend.”

Disney World has been approached for comment.
