We finally know what happened to the eight Love Is Blind S3 couples whose proposals were cut

Er, some engagements only lasted ‘hours’

Hardcore Love Is Blind UK viewers may already be aware that a whopping 14 couples actually got engaged in season three. The producers picked six to progress to the next stage of the show, while eight relationships weren’t included in the edit. One of the couples whose scenes were cut have now spoken out about their experience of Love Is Blind, so we finally know what happened with all eight of them.

The participants Jonathan and Sammy got engaged

Sammy Harper – a wellbeing coach from Manchester and Jonathan Harrod – a tech recruiter from Hertfordshire – hit it off in the pods

According to Sammy, they were drawn to each other’s energy, and “just bounced off each other straight away”. Aw.

It sounds as if we missed a really unique proposal. Sammy’s dad has passed away. Jonathan explained to The Sun: “I’m a traditional guy, and I always would have this idea of asking the father’s permission if you’re going to ask someone to marry them.” So, Jonathan wrote a letter to Sammy’s dad, and read it out. “We were both in bits.”

The seven other couples crashed and burned

Remember, 28 out of 30 participants from Love Is Blind season three got engaged. Chevanique and one unspecified dude were the only two not to lock it in with someone.

“None of them are together. I think they maybe lasted two days,” Sammy said.

Jonathan explained: “Out of the eight that left, obviously me and Sammy are the ones remaining, sort of within the first week.”

“Genuinely, hours,” Sammy put in.

“It’s a shame,” Jonathan continued, “because amongst them I saw some beautiful couples in there, but it is such a whirlwind, and I can almost understand why a couple of people have gone, ‘This is too much. This is overwhelming. Like, we’re engaged? Who are you? What is going on?'”

Yes, Jonathan and Sammy are still together

Their relationship has really progressed in the year since Love Is Blind was filmed. They jetted off to Málaga in September, and introduced each other to their families in November.

In February, Jonathan and Sammy got a puppy and named him Poddy, in honour of how they met in the Love Is Blind pods. Get it? Sammy sadly suffered a miscarriage in June.
