The true crime doc looks at Mica Miller’s life, her marriage to pastor John-Paul “JP” Miller and the events surrounding her death in April 2024. But Mica is not the only person at the centre of the story. JP Miller is now married to Suzie Skinner, a former member of Solid Rock Church who was previously married to Chris Skinner.

Suzie and JP married on June 1, 2025. Their marriage became a major point of interest because their relationship had already been discussed during the breakdown of JP’s marriage to Mica.

Mica had learned about an alleged affair between JP and Suzie. She confronted JP about the relationship and that he promised in writing that he would end it. The filmmakers say the alleged relationship continued to be a major source of distress for Mica before she filed for divorce.

The documentary presents accounts from Mica’s family, friends and others who knew the situation, while JP has disputed aspects of the timeline.

Before becoming JP Miller’s wife, Suzie was married to Chris Skinner. Chris was a US veteran and had become quadriplegic following a serious accident. Suzie worked as his physical therapist, according to reporting about the case.

So, where is Suzie Skinner now?

Suzie Skinner is still married to JP Miller and is reportedly living in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, area. JP married Suzie more than a year after Mica’s death. The former Solid Rock Church building and grounds have since been sold. But JP has reportedly continued preaching to a much smaller congregation at pop-up locations around Myrtle Beach.

Suzie is also reportedly involved in the worship side of the ministry. As per Tudum, she has been leading worship alongside JP as he continues preaching to a congregation of around 15 to 20 people.

JP’s federal case is still ongoing. A court-ordered continuance filed in August 2026 moved his trial into the October 2026 term. He remains free on bond. Suzie, meanwhile, remains his wife and has reportedly continued leading worship alongside him.
