The best pictures from Glasgow’s March for Independence today

Around 17,000 marched from Kelvingrove to Glasgow Green

An estimated 17,000 people marched from Kelvingrove to Glasgow Green today for Scottish Independence, waving saltires, banners and signs.

The march, which is now the biggest Indy march in Scottish history, comes five days before the General Election and is a reaction to Theresa May’s opposition to a second Indy Ref.

A lot of signs read “scrap Trident”, “bairns not bombs” and “dump the Tories”. Children even accompanied their parents on the march, and commuters on the way to work stopped to take pictures and videos.
