Need some inspo for your Insta? Here’s where to get the best autumnal pics in Cardiff

Grab your pumpkin spiced latte and your pals and head to these top autumnal spots in Cardiff to make your Insta pop

Autumn is undoubtedly the most aesthetic season, it might rain a lot but the colours that the trees produce are to die for. So we’ve comprised a list of all the best places you can go in Cardiff to make your friends green, brown, and orange with envy.

Bute Park

Nestled behind Cardiff Castle and just a stone’s throw away from the City Centre, Bute Park is the heart of the city.

If you’re heading into town for a shopping trip or for brunch with your pals, the de-tour through the Bute-iful park is definitely worth doing, especially during the Autumn season.

If you fancy it, you could stop for lunch at the Secret Garden Cafe, conveniently named as it is hidden away in the 130 acres of land, so good luck finding it.

Pumpkin Patch – Coedarhydyglyn Park

Fancy a fun day out? Mates have a car? Why not head over to the pumpkin patch in St Nicholas (west of Cardiff centre), an absolute necessity this time of year.

Entry is free, just pay for what you pick. There’s picnic benches if you fancy making the day of it and plenty of opportunity for snapping the perfect insta photo.

You can also challenge your friends to a pumpkin carving night, what’s not to love?

Taff Trail

Starting at Cardiff Bay and working its way up to Brecon, the Taff trail stretches for eight miles, and covers various beauty spots including the Principality Stadium, Sophia Gardens, River Taff, Pontcanna Fields, and much more.

If you’ve got a quiet Sunday coming up, why not hire an OVO Next Bike and go for a ride around our beautiful city? The autumn trees that line the trail are beautiful this time of year.

Roath Park

My personal favourite on this list, Roath Park is the perfect spot if you’re looking for coffee and a catch up with friends.

There’s a beautiful, circular route that surrounds Roath Lake as well as lots of other paths and gardens to look at.

Grab yourself a pumpkin spiced latte from the Terra Nova cafe and have a walk along the leaf coated trails.

Nant Fawr Woods

Encompassing woodland and open meadows, Nant Fawr is a great place to visit if you’ve got a quiet Sunday to spare.

Grab a pair of old trainers and head on into the beautiful autumn woods for a relaxing walk.
