Here’s what’s on every night of Aberdeen Freshers week

You won’t want to miss a thing


It's the time of year again. Newbies are testing their limits, oldies are drinking one beer and being hungover for the rest of the week.

From throwback parties to techno night, Aberdeen's nightlife has a whole lot to offer, and you're not going to want to miss any of it.

With so many options, we 've scoured the internet so that you don't have to. Here's everything you need to know about the best spots in the city this Freshers and beyond.

ATIK Aberdeen

The biggest club in Aberdeen located just off Union Street down Bridge Place. It's got multiple floors, so there's something for everyone.

The main floor downstairs fulfilling all your house and dance classic needs, upstairs on the light up dancefloor provides cheesy and pop.

Monday: Get yourself to Atik for an actual FRAT PARTY. From Aberdeen to America.

Tuesday: If hip-hop, rnb and rap is your vibe, hit up the curve room on Tuesday night for the launch of Drip.

Wednesday: Skite is a big night at ATIK known for being the night the sports clubs head after the day's games.

Thursday: Never been to a silent disco? Now's your chance.

Friday: Vanity on Friday is another staple night, and they're going all out with an epic beach party just for Freshers.

A seasoned tip: Buying tickets online will be cheaper than on the door if you know you're definitely going to go to that night!

NOX

Nox girls probably wear heels on a night out, and Nox boys will likely be buying a bottle package at the bar with a Rolex or Rolex-esque watch on their arm.

With 2 floors playing a range of music, based on their different nights, you'll definitely find a night to fit your vibe at some point during the week.

Monday: Nox just launched Story Mondays playing house, anthems and dance with drinks from £1 and booths from £50.

Tuesday: Another new launch, Apres Tuesdays! Providing something a little different with funky house and retro ski inspired music.

Thursday: On Thursday Nox brings you Milk, an established night in the Scottish nightlife scene across Edinburgh and Glasgow too. Milk provides the all things hiphop, RnB, house and anthems.

Friday: Get out your best leopard print gowns cause it's Jungle Friday, a night full of your favourite disco and pop bangers.

Exodus

Exodus is the hidden gem of the Aberdeen nightlife scene. Above Triplekirks and with free entry all night on their popular Monday 80's night, you can expect "Come on Eileen" and £6 pitchers. Dreamy.

You'll probably find 2nd years and beyond here hiding from you the new baby freshers, but don't tell them we told you.

Exo is open every night of the week with free entry all night, except on Friday and Saturday which is free only til Midnight.

Tunnels

Also a gig venue and known for their quality techno and dance events.

If the cheesy commercial club scene makes you cringe, Tunnels is the place for you.

Based under a Tunnel, it also provides one of the best smoking areas in the Deen along with a DJ in a tuk tuk providing the soundtrack to your smoke.

Tuesday: An event to note this Freshers is Spital Selecters on Tuesday. They'll be playing party bangers for their Freshers event part one and bringing guest DJ Liam Doc the following week for part two. Expect techno disco and house.

Thursday: RARE Thursday's have brought guest DJ's from all over the world including Peggy Gou and George Fitzgerald to the granite city. Offering the best in house, disco and techno. RARE is every Thursday down at Tunnels- glitter highly advisable.

Underground

The marmite club of Aberdeen, you'll love it or hate it or go from loving to hating it and back.

Prepare to get sweaty and messy, heels highly not advised ladies! With two floors and classic red cups, it's a cheap and cheerful option for a good night.

Another good smoking area location.

Tuesday: UG hosts a number of nights including their most popular night, Carwash Tuesdays. You'll know the "intoxicated x that's not me" remix like the back of your hand by the end of the year.

Wednesday: Underground's new midweek night, Mudd, launches Wednesday and is set to bring all things Indie and Rock.

Friday: Crash! offers you pop punk in the main room and party classics in the second.

Saturday: Underground House Party on a Saturday is your cheapest option. If you've got a pal up visiting or just fancy a weekend boogie to either club classics or cheesy pop.

Another tip: You get free entry if you find yourself a AAA card through joining certain societies.
