Sussex student representatives announced

1324 students voted in the elections


On the 2nd of September the Students’ Union opened several positions for autumn 2016 elections to get people more involved with the university.

Students nominated themselves for full-time paid positions or part-time voluntary positions, and they could choose from student representatives to NUS conference delegates. 

1324 students voted in the elections and 284 students voted in the Union representative elections.

Student representatives help voice their peer’s concerns and thoughts to facilitate their university experience.

On average two representatives are selected per year group to divide the load and share to the responsibilities.

Sussex University claims to have around 14,000 students, meaning around 9% in the elections and 2% of students voted for the Union representative elections.
