House of horror: Window smashed by bricks just a few days after ceiling falls through

There was an attempted break-in too

An unsuspecting finalists admits he is scared after two bricks were thrown through his bedroom window.

Third year Adam Farrow who lives on North Sherwood Street awoke at half six this morning to the sound of breaking glass.

Two bricks were thrown into his bedroom and hit him whilst he slept.

The window smash is the latest in a series of unfortunate events for his household.

He said: “I went out last night for a friends 21st and got in at half one and went to bed. Then I woke up and was like ‘fuck someone has put a brick through my window’.”

The brick smashed through two double glazed windows and hit Adam on the leg whilst he was in bed.

The police do not believe the attack was aggravated and are currently investigating the incident.

The house was also nearly broken into last week. And just a few days ago the ceiling in the converted pub fell through due to a leak.

Adam was asleep in bed when the bricks came through the window

Adam, who is in his final year of a politics degree, said: “I do feel quite scared now. This isn’t the best road to live on and last week we had a burglary upstairs and someone tried to break into here.”

Oak Student Letts own the property had been told about a concerning crack in the ceiling, but did not do anything about it.

Just a few days ago the roof fell down in Adam’s house

Housemate Lucy Greggs seemed un-phased by their series of misfortune.

She added:  “I’m 21 tomorrow so I’m just going to drink.”

We contacted Oak Student Letts about the incident however they did not wish to comment.
