Eliza Doolittle packs up her troubles and does some busking in Nottingham

The skinny genes singer performs in the city centre ahead of supporting Gary Barlow

Eliza Doolittle took Nottingham by surprise on Thursday afternoon as she busked on the street.

Crowds gathered outside Zara at 1pm on Wednesday after the star tweeted about her surprise performance.

Her street side stage was swiftly changed after roadies were moved on by the police after attempting to set up on the steps of the council house in Old Market Square.

Eliza was the support act for Gary Barlow at his sold out show at the Capital FM Arena.

The star, who is most famous for songs such as ‘Pack up’ & ‘Rollerblades’, took time after to take pictures with onlookers.

Kate Knight managed to grab a picture with Eliza and have a little chat.

She said: “Eliza did an acoustic version of ‘pack up’ , that’s my favourite song of hers.”

” When I asked her for a picture she said of course. She was super kind and friendly.”

Super fan Amanda Willimett was also in the town center this afternoon.

She said:” She was so lovely. She’d given me VIP tickets to see her support Gary Barlow already. She spoke to so many of the fans and took pictures with them.”
