Sussex Students’ Union reveal the final farewell parties for East Slope

I'm sorry folks, but it's coming to an end. Our glorious, one-of-a-kind, show stopper bar is being demolished next summer and it's time to whack out a tissue…or ten. Say goodbye to all of those memories of throwing up in the skanky toilets, downing as many drinks as you can at the Tuesday SKINT events and just having a laugh with your mates – it's over.

Well, almost…

So many memories…

Luckily for us, East Slope is hosting a wealth of goodbye parties and, oh yes my pretties, they're going to be corkers. Our fave hangout shall be throwing a number of themed parties, celebrating all the decades that East Slope has been open for. The watering-hole is preparing to go out with a bang.

Decade Parties

The groovy 70s – Saturday December 16

The Motown 80s – Saturday January 13

The slammin' 90s – Saturday January 20

The naughty 00s – Saturday March 24

The poppin' 10s – Sunday April 1

As well as these celebratory time-capsule events, there shall also be several more wonderful fiestas for you to get smashed at.

New Year's Eve shall see East Slope hosting a whale of a party; or if you aren't around for that, the last weekend in March shall be hosting a couple of events too. If you've ever worked for the Students' Union or for the university, The SU Staff Party shall be happening on Friday March 30, followed by the US Staff Party on Saturday March 31.

Take your drunk selfies whilst you can

East Slope shall then be hosting a glorious Summer festival during the first weekend of June; Saturday 2 and Sunday 3.

Then, to top it all off , on June 14 East Slope Bar shall be hosting it's last ever party. This is definitely one which you shall not one to miss, so make sure you're there for the send off.
