Hot accommodation: the swanky new Hotel du Vin

Hotel du vin is a Hotel du win (funny?).

The former St Andrews Golf Hotel is getting refurbished, have you noticed? If you knew it may have only been in the context of the wood boards over Ma Bells front door. Regardless of the temporary closure of a precious St A drinking institution, there is a bigger idea at hand.

The hotel is mid process of a £3.5 million renovation and set to reopen on later this month as the Hotel du Vin. Transformed into luxury status, it will be the first of its kind in the center of town. The location is ideal with the view from the Scores is incredible and North, Market and South Street all a short walk away. The feel of the renovation is cozy, dark leathers and utter sophistication.

The element of luxury means custom-made Egyptian cotton beds, plasma TVs and roll top bathtubs. Not a bad way to spend the night…

The bistro is set to be delicious, French style food and amazing vino. The Hotel du Vin has a sommelier, helping you perfect the art of matching food and wine. Après dinner, guests (or students) can head to the refreshed interiors of Ma Bells pub.

Not all will be complete by April, the addition of a new wing of guest rooms will continue into the summer months.
