St Andrews University is the best university in the UK for student satisfaction, according to the new Complete University Guide league table for 2024.

The university scored 83 per cent for student satisfaction, the highest score of all universities in the nation.

St Andrews also claimed an overall score of 92 per cent meaning it secured its place as fourth best university in the UK for the second year running, once again just falling short of a podium finish.

The university sits behind London School of Economics, University of Oxford and University of Cambridge respectively with only the later being awarded a perfect overall score of 100 per cent.

Fourth place nationally also establishes St Andrews as the best university in Scotland with University of Edinburgh ranking 12th, Glasgow 26th, Strathclyde 31st and Aberdeen, humbly, 35th.

To determine each university’s ranking, Complete University Guide scores all 130 in different fields: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects. In each field St Andrews scored 100 per cent, 84 per cent, 83 per cent and 83 per cent respectively.

These scores means St Andrews sits at number one in the UK for both entry standards and student satisfaction, 25 for research quality and 15 for graduate prospects.
