What three major changes would you like to see the Sabbs make next year?

Maxx Greenberg

1st Year, Philosophy and Economics

– More performances in the union: big, well-known and international names. We only had one renowned act during Fresher’s Week.

– The Union needs that revamp.

– Cheaper drinks – Manchester’s drinks are a third of the price in our union.

Hassan Ahmed

2nd Year, Chemistry

– We need major improvement to the university’s sports facilities – including an expansion of the gym.

– There needs to be action taken to reduce the cost of academic gowns and make them more affordable. (I really want one!)

– Most importantly, the issues around accommodation need to be addressed.

Sophie Pattersons

3rd Year, Joint Honours in International Relations and Social Anthropology

– Weekly alternative to the bop – genres other than cheesy bop stuff but with the same price tag and reliability.

– More digitised library resources/non-short loan copies of texts.

– Some serious campaigning and work with the uni and council to really do something about ridiculous housing prices and shortages.

Anthony Simpson-Pike

4th Year, Honours in International Relations

– More communication about what is happening within university management.

– More contact hours. People will be paying 9K next year – they deserve more than two hours a week.

– There should be a hell of a lot more scholarships available, in order to widen this university’s demographic.
