Woman sexually assaulted near Bedford Place
Less than a month after the Jester’s assault
Cecile HemmingOn 4th October, a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the middle of the night, between 2am and 3am, near Hill Lane and Bedford place. Police have only just released details of the attack.
Police are searching for the driver of a dark Renault Clio, spotted on CCTV. A statement from the Hampshire Constabulary said: "We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle"
"His dark coloured Renault Clio was captured on CCTV travelling down Wilton Avenue in the direction of Hill Lane around 2.30am"
"There were also several people walking down this road between Bedford Place and Hill Lane after a busy night out in the city"
The exact location has not been confirmed, but the police say it happened near hill lane or the surrounding area.
