Southampton ranked in Top 20 by Complete University Guide
The University of Southampton is once again one of the best universities in the country
Joel ForemanThe Complete University Guide placed University of Southampton 17th in its national rankings of universities for 2017.
Southampton has been in the Top 20 since the Guide began publishing the list online in 2007.
Similar universities such as Bristol, who placed in 24th, falling 9 places, KCL, who came in 21st, found themselves further down on the list. Manchester, Nottingham and Cardiff also finished outside of the Top 20.
Nonetheless, it represents Southampton’s worst performance in the respected league table since 2014 when it was placed 20th.
Solent were placed 115th on the list, rising 7 places from last year.
The Top 5 was unchanged as Cambridge once again pipped Oxford to 1st place and The London School of Economics followed in 3rd, with Imperial and St. Andrews in 4th and 5th respectively.
