Joel ForemanThe Global Brigades Society are crowdfunding their “environmental brigade” to Panama, and need your help to reach their final goal.
They’ll be aiding local communities and organisations that are trying to help redevelop Panama’s rainforest, which is on the brink of being completely destroyed.
You can find their fundraising page here, with the Society handing out rewards for giving a donation.
They reached a quarter of the £6,000 needed within a week and have currently raised a mighty £2000, but need to double that to reach the minimum funds required to take part in the trip.
The University is matching every donation as well, and they’re fundraising at Jesters on Thursday, as well as holding events over the coming weeks on the concourse.
