James DennisonAt approximately 15:45 this afternoon a house down Padwell Road caught fire, resulting in two fire engines being called out and two people being rushed to hospital.
However despite the presence of around 15 emergency services personnel, the people in hospital are not thought to have been severely injured. A Policeman at the scene stated that there had been a house fire which was “probably accidental”, and had caused “no structural damage” to surrounding houses. It is not yet known what caused the fire.
Police have cordoned off the section of Padwell Road between Cambridge Road and Cedar Road and are calling for members of the public to avoid this area at the current time.
