Lucy DyerOn Saturday 23rd of February a £500 laptop and cash were stolen from a student house on Holyrood Avenue.
After gaining access via an insecure garden gate the burglar is believed to have climbed a drainpipe to enter the house through an open window.
Students are being urged to make sure their houses are as secure as possible and to contact their landlord to make improvements where necessary.
In this case Detective Constable Jenna Osman says that “a very low fence and no lock on the garden gate” were to blame.
