Northumbria hottie aces modelling competition

Beauty and brains rolled into one

Think of your average fresher.

Still a little bit shy from stepping out of Sixth Form and too skint to afford anything other than Boot’s finest Collection 2000. Usually hanging from Carnage, it would be difficult to imagine them gracing the cover of Vogue any time soon.

Now meet Northumbria fittie Amy Hudson who has out-pouted competition to reach the UK finals of a national modelling competition and is better looking at 19 than most of us will be at any point at uni.

The Psychologist from Darlington is the only model haling from the North East (meaning she’s not only probably the fittest girl in your year, but the whole of the region too) and will compete against 18 other models in March to win the title of Top Model 2015.

The blonde bombshell first dabbled in modelling during her gap-yahh on a trip to Chile and has since said she is “simply overwhelmed” by the support she’s been given after entering the competition last year. Bless.

Amy said: “Everyone’s been so supportive and so pleased for me that I’m determined to do my very best and, hopefully, bring the title home to the North East.

“It’s all been a bit nerve-wracking and I can’t believe I’ve made it through to the finals.”

A far cry from her less glamourous job in student haunt Osbornes, Amy found herself searching for a sponsor to persue her modelling dreams and landed none other than business owner Atul Malhorta, top dog at Malhorta Group plc in Newcastle.

He owns the very bar in which Amy saves her wages until making it big so was a natural candidate to back his favourite employee.

Atul said: “To reach the finals of the competition and to be the only North East entrant to do so is an incredible achievement. We’re happy to back her all the way – even if it means losing her to the bright lights of the fashion industry.”

As charitbale as she is fit (is this girl perfect?), Amy is holding out for the Charity Vote Award, awarded to the girl who raises the most through out the competition. £1 votes can be donated through Amy’s Top model Virgin Giving page.
