More photos released from the rowing team’s naked calendar

It’s out next week

The rowing team have released more teaser photos from their new calendar, scheduled for release next week.

The team created the calendar to raise money for not only the boat club aiding the team in their sport, but also to help support a charity very close to home for them, Headway.

Headway is a UK wide charity, helping those who have suffered brain damage, but also the families and carers of brain injury survivors.

A member of the rowing team needed their support following a horrific bicycle accident last Christmas. With Headway’s help, he is now back at Newcastle and rowing again.

Newcastle’s fundraising officer, Will Anslow Wilson commented on the calendar: “Rowing is a very expensive sport, especially for students, so these calendars are a great way to make money for the boat club. It’s also an opportunity to make some money for charity.

“This year we are working with Headway, a charity that does fantastic work helping people with brain injuries. Last year we managed to make £2,000, but this year we’ve really stepped up the quality of the photos, so are aiming for £5,000.”

Two versions of the calendar have been released, a male and female version.

President of the club, Barnaby Stroud Turp commented on the shooting of the calendars, “It is a good way of uniting club members. It can be abit daunting at first, especially for freshers, but once every gets into the spirit go it it’s really good fun.”

This isn’t the first calendar released, last years sold in seven countries and the boat clubs Youtube videos gained over 200,000 views.

Calendar’s are available for pre-order here.
