Welcome Week wristbands are on sale now
Professor Green and Cascada are headlining
Another year, another results day, another set of freshers.
For those lucky enough to receive an offer from everyone’s favourite Northern university, here’s what you’ve got to look forward to.
Everything kicks off on Sunday 19th September, so once you’re happily moved in and you’ve said your goodbyes to your parents (and drunk too much value vodka and lemonade with your new bffs) make your way to the Guild for a silent disco and sets from Riot Jazz and Radio One’s Scott Mills. Don’t get too wavy though, you won’t want to miss Rave of Thrones on Monday with Hodor.
Not to worry if you’re ready to give your liver a rest by midweek; the Guild are hosting a comedy night headlined by award winning star of Impractical Jokers UK Joel Dommett on Tuesday, followed by a set from Local boys Clean Cut Kid on Wednesday.
You will be back on it by Thursday, the one and only Cascada is heading to Liverpool to host ‘I Love the 00s’. Expect cheesy tunes and questionable pulling.
Don’t miss Liverpool legends Bongo’s Bingo on Friday. It’s one of the best nights in the city and they’re bringing it to you. Make the most of it because once it’s back at Camp and Furnace you’re paying a steep £15 for a bottle of rosé.
Finally – The Big Freshers Bash on Saturday stars Jonas Blue (the man behind some of this year’s summer bangers) and guest of honour Professor Green for the last night of welcome week.
Communication Studies finalist Lowri Herbert said: “Sounds like an amazing and exciting line up. It’s gonna make freshers even more fun than usual.
“Is it wrong that I’m jealous these freshers get Cascada when we got Basshunter? I’m so down for that.”
Welcome Week wristbands are £65 including booking fee and can be purchased through the Guild website here.
