The shit jumper epidemic has hit LGOS
Cristina CriddleThe merchandise shop in the Guild is festively flogging hilarious Chrismas sweatshirts with a smiling snowman on for 15 quid.
“Jolly” jumpers have become a shit uniform for people who can’t dress for winter, and now you can get your very own University of Liverpool one.
The snowman looks like he belongs at Chibuku, not the Guild
The jumper is a dark green colour, embellished with a hideous twirly font and spirals of “Let it Snow”.
A member of staff told The Tab they hadn’t sold any yet, but they had only just come in.
Harry Anderson models the jumper in the most recent LGOS newsletter and also advertises gingerbread people on sale in the courtyard.
Sweet but sinister
They’re called George and Georgina, and they cost £2.20.
Ryan, a third year Economics student, told The Tab: “If I saw somebody wearing that I’d think they were well scatty.
“I quite like Christmas jumpers, I’ve got a Christmas jumper but I’d never wear this.
“It looks like my mum’s Christmas tea towel.”
She won’t be buying one
Jemima, a third year Classics student, looked in disgust at the attire: “It’s shit.”
If they take your fancy they come in all sizes – XS is around a size eight.
