Commissioner of Met Police to discuss future of crime

Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police to attend public lecture hosted by UoL.

Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Metropoltian Police commissioner, will be discussing security and conflict in a public lecture held at the University of Liverpool.

The free event will be held at St George’s Hall tonight as part of the University’s Security and Conflict series.

As a copper in Liverpool, Hogan-Howe made a name for himself with his uncompromising stance regarding gun crime following the tragic shooting of Rhys Jones.

He set up Matrix, the first specialist team to tackle gun crime outside of London.
