Lancaster University to hold Undergraduate Research Conference 2022
The event will take place from the 15th to the 17th of March
From Tuesday 15th to Thursday 17th March, Lancaster University will be hosting the 2022 Undergraduate Research Conference.
Designed to promote, share, and celebrate work undertaken as part of undergraduate studies, students will be able to meet fellow students researching the same and different topics. They will also learn about the contributions they make through their work to the whole community at Lancaster University.
This year’s in-person event will have a wide range of activities and speakers, including the Spotlight on Presenters session, in which students have five minutes to present their research and Global Research Insight, where students take 15 minutes with the UG Conference Advocates hosting questions and answers with presenters.
The conference will have over 80 presentations to view from their specifically designed website (opening soon). It will allow attendees to ask questions and listen to the live talks at the conference sessions.
The presentations are set to cover all disciplines and will be presented by a range of academics from Lancaster Teaching Partnership. These are to include:
Visvantini Kumaran, Factors of loneliness: does social appearance anxiety, social media addiction and high expectations in relationships affect social and emotional loneliness, Sunway University, Malaysia:
Benjamin Stafford, Phishing attack! Who takes the bait? Blackburn College
Manaswi Patil, “Forecasting the Moon” – Predicting Cryptocurrency Trends Using Sentiment Analysis, Lancaster Bailrigg
Ella Stanley, Project Politics – How to Play the Game in the 21st Century, Blackpool & The Fylde College
