Over 100 items are left on buses in Liverpool every day and some are really odd.

After receiving more than 35,000 calls from passengers regarding lost property items, Arriva Liverpool are appealing for customers to alert lost or found property items on social media.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the eight weirdest things to be found on the buses in Liverpool are:

  • musical Instruments
  • prosthetic limbs
  • walking frames
  • children in plans
  • dogs
  • live ferrets
  • glass eyes
  • handcuffs

Katie Braithwaite, a student from LJMU said: “I was on my way to a 9am lecture when I turned and found a pair of handcuffs on the seat next to me. It looked like someone had a good night”.

University of Liverpool student, Shannon Hart said: “I found a walking stick. The man had used it to get on the bus so I wasn’t sure how he forgot it. By the time the bus had set off again I realised it was still leaning on the railing”.

Arriva are now asking customers to alert the arriva team to lost or found items by using the hashtag #findmearriva on facebook and twitter in order to get the property back to the owners in a quick and efficient way.
