What do you study at Glasgow and what year are you?

I study neuroscience and just about to go into third year.

How did you get started with athletics?

I took part in a local cross country race and the local club coach came over at the finish and asked me to join – which turned out to be Giffnock North. I still run with them today.

What athletics achievements are you most proud of?

I think winning Commonwealth Youth Games. I had never raced anyone who was in the 1500m before so I didn’t really know what to expect. I just raced my own race and it was even more special when you are racing for Scotland- I was just so shocked when I crossed the line. Also this year I have managed to PB in 800m and 1500m which I am proud of considering how the last year has been.

Tell us more about your experience at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

It was my first time competing internationally outside Europe for Scotland and Bahamas was such a cool place. Our hotel was on the beachfront and it was just an amazing place to be! We were allowed to interact with the other teams and swap kit with them.

Do you think the Olympics is a possibility?

Yeah definitely would love to, it will be exciting to see what the next three years brings.
