Is this real life?

Just when you thought 2017 couldn’t throw you another curveball, it’s been announced that there will be alpacas on campus this Thursday.

Yep, you heard right.

Glasgow, like other universities across the country, has seen puppies on campus before to combat stress levels – but the arrival of alpacas takes the (dog) biscuit.

The “cuter and quirkier” cousins of the llama will be roaming our campus as part of Raising and Giving Week to raise money for Pets As Therapy.

The presence of the furry animal is also to help students with deadline stress.

Everyone seems to be going a bit nuts over the news, with nearly 2,000 people interested in the event and 800 saying they’re definitely going.

Let’s hope the alpacas are prepared for how popular they’re going to be.
