How many calories do your favourite UK alcoholic beverages contain?

Brace yourselves

Am I the only person on the planet that didn’t realise alcohol has calories in it? Quite possibly.

However, for those of you who were also blissfully oblivious or are curious as to how many calories you’re consuming on a night out, here are some of the UKs favourite bevvies and how many calories they each contain:

Dragon Soop (500ml can): 251

Really? 251 calories? In a full can? Hello, I’ll have five cans thanks. I’ll take caffeine over calories any day sunshine.

Pass the dragon soup bucket bitch

Buckfast (750ml bottle): 1,080

There it is

Oh for Christ’s sake. Is this a joke? ONE THOUSAND calories in a bottle of Buckie? Just as well a bottle gets you so lit that you’ll be bouncing off the walls for the next five hours or so.

Double Vodka Irn Bru (50 ml vodka, 250 ml Irn Bru): 211

Just imagine I’m drinking vodka Irn bru out of those cups and not vodka cranberry for a second xx

Well, you’re not exactly going to have a single are you? This is also slightly soul destroying, luckily if you’re a lightweight like me you can get away with three doubles and have the time of your life for the price of 633 calories. Sound.

Prosecco (750 ml bottle): 450

Wayheeeeeeeey. Finally, there is a God and she is called Prosecco.

Pear Kopparberg  (500ml bottle): 240

Not only is pear Kopparberg low in cals, strawberry & lime Kopparberg is only 211 calories.

Smashing.

Strawberry & lime Rekorderlig (500ml bottle): 208

Even less calories than Kopparberg! #yas #queen

Tennent’s (pint): 170

Go on son x

Why does beer have so little calories in it? Why do I hate beer?

Corona Extra (330 ml bottle): 148

Well happy days.

Fosters (330 ml can): 132

Basically, beer is the way to go.

Gross

Echo Falls white wine (750 ml bottle): 498

498 calories to consume a bottle of what can only be described as drinking the tears of bloody angels sounds like a good time to me.

We love you echo falls.

Echo Falls red wine (750 ml bottle): 515

Dreams do come true.

Rosé (750 ml bottle): 559

Rosé all round, it’s time to celebrate.

Smirnoff  Vodka (750 ml bottle): 1,456

Holy shit.

Gordon’s Gin (750 ml bottle): 780

This, I can handle. Everyone should drink gin. It’s refreshing, energising and low cal.

Jack Daniels (700 ml bottle): 1,540

Seriously!? Put the JD & coke down mate.

Vodka Shot (25 ml): 52

Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots.

Sourz Shot (25 ml) 103

SWEET MOTHER OF GOD. I have basically been swimming in sourz since I was 16. It doesn’t even taste like alcohol and now we know why. God damn.

Tequila Rose Shot (25ml): 69

It tastes like strawberry milkshake so this is no shock, and totally worth it.

Strawberry Daquiri Cocktail (236 ml glass): 189

Ladies who liquid lunch, fear not.

Sex on the Beach Cocktail (236 ml glass): 275

There is hope after all. I’m buying myself a cocktail shaker ASAP.

Next time you buy your pre drinks, choose wisely. If you make a good decision you might be allowed a box of cheesy chips at the end of the night. Score.
