Second year has his MacBook stolen from the library

He left to go have his lunch

Second year, Angus Hardy had his MacBook Air stolen from the Level 8 annexe.

The 20-year-old left to go have his lunch on Saturday afternoon, and when he returned, noticed his laptop was not in his bag.

Angus had his laptop stolen

The Economics student told The Tab: ”I arrived at the library at 12 and worked until about 2:00 when I left to go home for some lunch.

”Upon leaving I normally just leave my laptop, as everyone else does, but for some reason I put it in my bag and then under the table.

”Having had lunch I got distracted by the Scotland match. I wondered about 4ish if I should go back and move my stuff but as it was a Saturday the place was empty so I wasn’t fussed about leaving one of the desks busy and didn’t think someone would ever steal my laptop.

”Having watched the England match I went back at eight to find my bag on the desk, not where I left it, and my laptop missing. I told security but they don’t have CCTV in the annex.”

Unfortunately, the Level 8 annexe is one of the few places in the library where there is no CCTV.
