Forgot to plan your Hallo-week out? Here’s what’s happening every day of the week

Yoloween, free donuts and more


With Halloween just around the corner, you don’t want to miss out on all the exciting events available in Cardiff. We looked into all the local Halloween events so you don’t have to, and something’s happening every night of the week.

Make sure to check if tickets are required before attending to avoid the crushing disappointment of standing in your cute Shrek onesie in the rain as you’re turned away due to full capacity.

Monday 25th October

It’s a Monday night which means it’s a mandatory stop at Quids In. Where else would you be instead of queuing, even just to have a chance for a photo-op with the big giraffe?

Tuesday 26th October

Try your second night of Hallo-week in Revs. Basically what we’re saying is that every night out is Halloween-themed. Sounds like nobody has an excuse to skip the Halloween costume this week!

Wednesday 27th October

For anyone who was here before Covid, Yoloween is finally making its grand comeback! The Students’ Union’s classic student night out: YOLO but make it spooky. Yoloween is an all-building takeover, including a silent disco in the great hall and free entry from 9-10pm.

Thursday 28th October

Pryzm is holding a Carnival of the Dead every night from Thursday to Monday (but tickets for Saturday and Sunday are sold out).

If that’s not your thing, Mary’s on St Mary’s Street are hosting ‘Zombie High with Amber Dextrous’-  a student night with a spooky name that getting us in the mood already!

Friday 29th October

There’s a lot to choose from this Friday, from Pulse’s ‘Pulse of Horrors’ to Coyote Ugly’s Fancy Dress night!

Mary’s are also hosting a ‘Hey Mary Spooktacular’, a spooky queer drag discotheque. There’s something for everyone, we’re spoilt for choice!

Saturday 30th October

As we reach the weekend there is no end to the Hallo-week festivities. Boom Battle Bar are holding a ‘Best Costume’ competition, alongside a Zombie cocktail special and even a horror movie screening!

Mary’s has ‘Heaven and Hell with Amy La’Queefa and Dr Bev’, and Pulse is continuing with ‘Pulse of Horrors’ – open til 6am!

Sunday 31st (Halloween) October

And on Halloween night there is so much to choose from, good luck! Walkabout are kicking off the night with ‘TNT – Alien UV Invasion chart’ – and there are free donuts!

Revs are hosting ‘Mode’, but it’s Halloween-themed so remember those costumes!

Peppermint are treating us to a ‘Spooktacular Halloween Soiree’ party, with cocktails inspired by all things spooky!

The Philharmonic are holding a ‘Halloween House Party’, they have a variety of drink deals including £3 spirit and mixer!

After all this, you might be struggling to decide where to go! Wherever you end up, remember your costume and have a Happy Hallo-week!
