CHARITY THEFT: £700 stolen from RAG office

Three “charity boxes” were stolen.

Up to £700 was stolen from Cambridge’s RAG office at some point during the last week. 

Police are currently looking for witnesses to provide information on the suspected burglary from 17 Mill Lane.

Cambridge RAG is a student-run charitable funding organisation  which raises money for local, national, and international charities.  Their offices are managed by both CUSU, and the Graduate Union.

How could anyone steal from this lovely bunch?

In a comment to the Tab, RAG President Will McDermott stated, “We reported the matter to the police on Monday and we are working with them. If anybody has any information please let us know.”

A spokesperson for the police stated “We are investigating a theft which occurred between 7.15pm on November 11 and 9.30am on November 14 in Mill Lane, Cambridge. Three charity boxes containing up to £700 were taken from the premises.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
