Annabelle PenhaligonWith reading week over and a reluctant return to the onslaught of uni work, there is one guiding light as the days get colder and darker: the Frankfurt Christmas Markets Birmingham.
An annual feature of our Christmases since 2001, the markets open today, November 15th, and will remain open until December 23rd. The markets are located along New Street and through to Victoria Square, and open from 10am-9pm every day.
The New Street attraction is the largest outdoor Christmas market in the UK, and the biggest German market outside of Germany and Austria.

With mulled wine and plenty of cute trinkets for wholesome Secret Santa gifts, the markets are a staple of every UoB student's Christmas.
So get your boo, post that Instagram of the two of you with your matching woolly hats, and eat, drink, and be merry.
