Just one week after the villa, a Love Island 2026 cast member lands major presenting job

They’re working on a huge ITV show!

The show might have only just ended, but already one of the Love Island 2026 cast members has bagged themselves a presenting role. This is a massive move.

Ope Sowande was no stranger to the industry before he went on the show, having been on TV loads before Love Island. He’s worked on the West End, been a dancer on Strictly, and he did promo with Netflix for Bridgerton. Yes, really! Now, he’s back using his creative skills after the villa.

He might have been dumped quite early on, but that doesn’t matter. To ITV, his charisma and talent was clear to see. The channel has hired him to work on This Morning, and it looks as though Ope enjoyed his first day at work!

‘The new face of British TV mark my words’

Ope appeared on This Morning yesterday (Tuesday 4th), when he presented a segment live from a staycation spot in Hampshire. He hosted from Sandy Balls Holiday Village, and was joined by people there enjoying their holidays.

He played interactive games and hosted challenges with the holiday makers, in exchange for cash prizes. One challenge saw a woman covered in bright yellow slime. Lovely!

“Thank you for turning my dreams into a reality,” Ope said on Instagram, tagging the show. He shared a bunch of pictures from the day of filming. The holiday village also shared a behind the scenes look, and said: “Well… that was a fun morning.”

Hopefully Ope will be back soon, as plenty of people in the comments said he did an excellent job. “The new face of British TV mark my words,” one said. Another added: “Absolutely made for this”.

It’s not only Ope who has come out of the villa and stepped straight into the grind. Just days after the final aired, influencer Charleen Murphy shared that she has a new brand deal lined up. They really don’t stop!
