Trigg sadly passed away on 18th May

Rumours had been circling about the incident after the Chandler Fire Department told Arizona’s 12 News a three-year-old child was in a critical condition following a pool drowning. On 18th May, police then confirmed to Us Weekly the toddler was Trigg Kiser, and he had sadly passed away.

A police investigation was then opened

The following day, on 19th May, Chandler Police Department spokesperson Sonu Wasu told E! News that a police investigation had been opened.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the child’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable time. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain ongoing. This is still an open investigation. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed,” she said.

Brady Kiser made his social media private

Around the same time, Brady Kiser made his Instagram and TikTok profiles private. This came after negative comments speculating about the circumstances of the incident started circling online.

Emilie Kiser sued Arizona authorities

On 29th May, the influencer filed a lawsuit suing Arizona authorities to stop any information relating to the investigation from being publicly released. This includes things like the police report, 911 calls, autopsy report, body camera footage and scene photos. She asked for privacy and claimed releasing this information would cause the family to suffer “irreparable harm”.

Her lawyer shared an emotional statement

In the legal documents obtained by NBC News, the family’s lawyer said: “Emilie is going through a parent’s worst nightmare right now. She lost her young son. Emilie is trying her best to be there for her surviving son, two-month-old Theodore. But every day is a battle.”

The attorney called the incident a “heartbreaking accidental drowning” and added: “Emilie and her family desperately want to grieve in private, but sadly, the public will not let them. Trigg’s death has become a media frenzy.”

At the time of writing this, Emilie and Brady Kiser have not spoken out.
