
Police release statement after influencer Emilie Kiser’s son tragically drowns in pool
The three-year-old has died after six days in hospital
Tributes are pouring in for influencer Emilie Kiser’s three-year-old son who tragically died after drowning in a pool, and the local police have released a statement.
Trigg Kiser died in hospital on Sunday (18th May) after drowning in the pool at their Arizona home on 12th May. He was in a critical condition for almost a week.
In a statement to E! News, Chandler Police Department spokesperson Sonu Wasu revealed that a police investigation into the incident has been opened.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the child’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable time,” she said.
“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain ongoing. This is still an open investigation.”
“Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed,” Wasu continued.
Officers responded to a drowning call on 12th May, where they found the three-year-old unconscious after being pulled out of the pool, the Chandler Fire Department told NBC’s 12 News Arizona.
Paramedics performed CPR on site before taking Trigg to Chandler Regional Hospital and then Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where he died after six days in critical condition.
Emilie has more than 3.4 million followers on TikTok 1.3 million on Instagram, where she shares videos about her family life. She has not posted a statement at the time of writing this.
The influencer recently welcomed a second child, Theodore, in March with her husband Brady Kiser.
In the United States, drowning is the leading cause of death in children aged one to four, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals.
