The hilarious editing error in Squid Game 2 that made me love the recruiter even more
Gone too soon… or is he?
Squid Game 2 has already broken so many records, but it definitely took home the prize for the most crazed hottie in season two. The recruiter stole the show in the first two episodes of Squid Game 2, before he unfortunately died (spoiler alert). However, people online have picked up on a hilarious error in Squid Game 2 in a scene with the recruiter, and once you see it you just can’t unsee it.
In Squid Game 2 episode two, an error can be spotted when the recruiter is laying dead on the sofa while Gi-hun aims a gun at Choi Woo-seok, who was Mr Kim’s best friend and subordinate. After the tragic game of rock, paper, scissors in episode one, Mr Kim was shot and Choi Woo-seok was tied up and left on a bed in Gi-hun’s sketchy motel. When Gi-hun found him, he was begging for his life that Mr Kim had been killed by the recruiter and to please spare his life.
If you look closely at the picture above, you’ll notice the recruiter is in fact dead. There’s no argument about it. However, just three seconds later, his eyes open slightly.
Then in the final bloody shot when Choi Woo-seok realises the recruiter is right next to him, his eyes are fully open.

It’s a bit of a continuity problem, that’s for sure. People have been wondering whether it was either the actor’s error for opening his eyes in the scene, the producer’s fault for not spotting the mishap or if it could even mean the recruiter was faking his death, and we could be seeing him again in Squid Game 3. Who knows!
