Worse than ever: The terrifying Squid Game challenges Gi-hun will face in season three

So season three is basically guaranteed death

Squid Game 2 left us with a hell of a lot to expect in season three, and by the looks of the sneak peek Netflix gave us, the final game will be lethal. However, we’re only three games into the sick competition, meaning by last time’s logic we should be expecting three more. The haunting question is what will they be? Squid Game viewers have been working overtime trying to crack the case, and using the hints from the show and the theme of Korean childhood games, they’ve found some pretty convincing evidence between them. Here’s some of the terrifying challenges Gi-hun and his gang could be facing in Squid Game season three, according to the theories.

Confirmed: Jack and Jill

via Netflix

In an eerie post-credit scene, Netflix confirmed that the players would make it to the Jack and Jill challenge in Squid Game season three which seems actually terrifying. According to the game, players would roll a dice to climb the hill. They then spin a wheel, which either points to a well or a bucket. If you spin and it points to the well, you climb upwards. If you spin and it points to the bucket, you fall down. The winner is the first to reach the top.

Predicted: The trolley problem

People also noticed the red and green traffic light in the post-credits scene. This has got people thinking that the final game will force the players to lie on two railway tracks as a train approaches them. Other players will then have to decide which way to send the train, choosing who to kill and save.

Predicted: Monkey Bars

If you are a die-hard fan of Squid Game, you might have spotted the sneaky easter egg that the games are foreshadowed on the walls of the player room. In season two, eagle-eyed viewers have noticed how there are pictures of stick men playing on monkey bars, which is the confirmation we needed that they’ll be a feature in season three. Let’s just wait and see if we actually get that far before another player revolt kicks off.

Predicted: Human Chess

via Netflix

The Squid Game set designers need a raise for this wild foreshadowing because a game of chess was also depicted on the wall. Seriously, how have none of the players picked up on this yet? It looks like the players will be facing a game of human chess, and there’s many ways that could go. We could potentially see 001 and 456 as the leaders, and the rest of the players as the chess pieces, or we could even see VIPs making a comeback as the players, keeping the equality of the games for all the players just like the Front Man wanted. It’s going to be messy!
