Thanos actor filmed Squid Game 2 scene with a massive injury after dangerous stunt
How on earth did he keep on going?!
Squid Game 2 brought enough drama with its insane plot twists and lethal storyline, but it seems there was even more behind the scenes. The actor who plays Thanos, T.O.P the Korean rapper, suffered a huge injury on the Squid Game 2 set but that didn’t stop him from getting the job done. Here’s what went down on set.
Thanos suffered the injury during the Squid Game 2 lights-out scene
Thanos was very sadly killed off during the lights-out massacre scene, where he was the first to die. His death was one of the most gruesome of the season; he was stabbed with a fork several times. But, what you definitely didn’t know is that T.O.P. was already badly injured. Yim Si-wan, who played Player 333 (or the crypto scammer/father who abandoned Player 222) opened up about filming the deadly scene where he was the one to do the stabbing.
During an interview, Yim Si Wan explained what it was like working with the former BIGBANG star, especially being a K-pop idol himself: “Back then, BIGBANG was the celebrity among celebrities. We rarely saw them because each group had separate waiting rooms, and just getting a greeting from BIGBANG was a huge talking point. We’d be like ‘did they just look at us?’ and Kwanghee would say ‘I think they just checked out what you were wearing’—that kind of thing.”
Yim was quick to applaud T.O.P.’s commitment to his acting performance despite a nasty rib injury.

“We attended action school together to get in sync. We were both going all out in the action scenes, and there was this moment where we both went airborne during a falling scene. That’s when T.O.P broke his rib,” he explained. “I’ve broken my ribs before, so I know how painful and excruciating it is. You can’t even breathe properly at that point—you should stop, but T.O.P. just kept going. That’s when I realized his experience was on another level.”
