This huge detail in Squid Game 2 could prove Thanos’s dad was a previous winner

Squid Game 2 has already generated hundreds of fan theories after staggering success on Netflix last week. As it sits proudly in the number one spot, people are beginning to dissect every little detail in desperation for answers and season three hints. One Squid Game 2 theory which actually had some weight to it was about Thanos’s dad.

In episode three of Squid Game 2, Thanos’s conversation with the girl he likes references his dad. While everyone looks around completely jarred at Gi-hun’s outburst during Red Light, Green Light, Thanos makes a comment that’s hard to ignore now.

“That man must be drunk. He says they’ll shoot us if we lose,” Player 196 says to Thanos.

“He sounds like my old man when he gets home drunk and starts talking crazy,” Thanos replies. “Says there’s a freaking bug in his head.” Wait, let’s back up for a second, because this has some weight.

If Thanos’s dad was a previous winner, he would have also had a chip in his head just like Gi-hun did, meaning he wasn’t crazy at all.

This is no hate to T.O.P here, who is an exceptional rapper, but Thanos is a little… underwhelming. His rapping isn’t great, he blanks on his own lyrics and he can’t be doing that well for himself if he’s in the Squid Game. He also has no money skills after losing all his cash in Player 333’s unsuccessful bitcoin which screams nepo baby behaviour (no offence).
