Did Gi-hun actor accidentally give away the ending of Squid Game 3 with this detail?

It’s all starting to add up

Squid Game 2 has taken over Netflix over the last week, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. If you’re like me, you binged the entire thing over two days and now have serious Squid Game FOMO. However, Gi-hun actor Lee Jung-jae may have actually given away a huge plot spoiler that could determine the ending of Squid Game 3, and the outcome of the player revolt.

A week before Squid Game 2 was released on Netflix, Lee Jung-jae went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and gave away some very interesting plot details about what we could expect from the new season. However, one of his answers was deliberately unclear t the time, and in hindsight, Lee Jung-jae may have just given away the whole plot of season three.

In the interview, Jimmy asked him questions and he would either press a blue circle for yes, or a red cross for no, just like in Squid Game season two. After a few warm up questions, Jimmy asked him if he would “become the new Front Man” in the new season and be “in charge of the games.” To that, Lee Jung-jae hit BOTH BUTTONS.

Great, now a whole new can of worms has been opened for us to dissect. What does pressing both of those buttons mean?! It sounds like Gi-hun is going to have some level of power and then shut the games down to me. This could be a huge hint that the players will win the revolt in the end and he’ll shut down the games himself for good. Alternatively, he could join the baddies and become the Front Man to save everyone else. It’s SO confusing and I literally can’t wait any longer for season three.
