Here’s what is going to happen to Player 246’s daughter in Squid Game season three

The girl in the strawberry hat still has one hell of a story

Squid Game season two has dominated the Netflix charts since it came out last week and shows no signs of slowing down. From insane cliffhanger endings to broken records, the show has left no stone unturned. Among the many storylines of the 456 players this season, there was one that stood out for a very sad reason. So, what will happen to player 246’s daughter, the little child with the strawberry hat, in Squid Game season three? Spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned!

Remember player 246, or Gyeong-seok? He was the father to a little girl with a strawberry hat who loved the bunny at the theme park in the first few episodes. We quickly learnt that his daughter was very ill and needed expensive medical treatment, which is why he was in the Squid Game.

We heartbreakingly said goodbye to Player 246 in Squid Game season two after he was shot and killed during the final episode’s player revolt. Since he was one of the many who died, his daughter, Na-yeon, is now without a father. It also basically means she has no one to help pay for her blood cancer treatments.

So, what will happen to Na-yeon?

Na-yeon’s fate is pretty unclear right now, but there are a few things that could happen and a few things that are still unclear. Firstly, it’s possible that No-eul, the ex-bunny triangle gunman, could have pulled the trigger.

Also, while he appears to be dead, it’s possible Gyeong-seok survived the bullet and will live on in season three. You might think this is out of the question, but look what happened to our hottie detective Hwng Jun-ho who literally got shot by his Front Man brother, washed into sea, put into a coma and survived without a scratch. In Squid Game world, anything is possible!

No-eul might also try to look out for Na-yeon after finding out her father is dead. After a scary threatening warning from two other triangle guards, she seemed to back off shooting everyone in the game. It might have put her off doing it again for Gyeong-seok.

Nonetheless, I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Gyeong-seok and No-eul’s connected backstories. He didn’t get any character depth in the games despite being such a vital part of the first two episodes. Only time will tell!
