Lim Se-ryung is a millionaire heiress and the vice-chairman of one of South Korea’s biggest companies

Lim Se-ryung is the eldest daughter of Lim Chang-wook, who is the honorary chairman of the huge South Korean food company Daesang Group. She is currently the vice-chairwoman and reportedly earned 515 million won ($390,000) in the first half of 2024 ALONE.

She was married to the executive chairman of Samsung

Lim Se-ryung was married to Lee Jae-yong – the current executive chairman of Samsung Electronics from 1998 to 2009 They have a son and a daughter together, aged 24 and 20. Insight Korea also reported at the time that Lim asked for 100 billion won (about US$70 million) in alimony from Lee.

She has a psychology degree

Lim firstly pursued a business major at Yonsei University but dropped out after marrying her Samsung heir ex-husband. However, she carried on her studies at New York University, where she got herself a B.A. in psychology.

Lee and Lim first met in 2005 and got closer in 2009 after Lim got divorced. The two were spotted in the Philippines in 2010, sparking rumours of a romance, but Lee Jung-jae denied this at the time. However in 2015, Lee Jung-jae publicly confirmed their relationship after photos of the couple going out on dates were taken.
