Chris Mathias is The Tab Bristol’s BNOC of the year 2016.
The president of Bristol’s snow sports society clinched the victory after 581 people chose him in our poll – giving him 48% of the vote.
Gentleman composer Lucky Dube came in second place with 377 votes and fresher queen Livi Brooks-McLaughlin came in 3rd with 244.
When informed of his stunning victory, Chris told us this:
“Up till now I’ve always just thought that whoever won these was an unimportant conceited egotist. I guess this year is no different.This is obviously a huge honor for me, but a bittersweet one as the other nominees can’t revel in victory with me, they are no doubt more worthy than I am. Swings and Roundabouts I guess…”
“I couldn’t have done it alone, and so I’d like to express my gratitude towards my Campaign Managers, Hope, Arie and Ellen, for their hard work and for always keeping me grounded when the fame went to my head. Also cheers to my mum, hopefully she will finally be proud of me…”
Apart from being able to revel in unending glory and inform his mum that people at Uni like him, Chris will be sent an honorary Tab T shirt and will be consulted on next year’s Tab BNOC contest.
